75% students placed in well-known cos, highest offer is 16L

Despite the shortcomings that come with functioning from a temporary campus, the highest salary package offered to a student from NIT Goa passed out in 2015 was Rs16 lakh per annum. NIT Goa director GRC Reddy said at Sunday's convocation ceremony, "I am glad to inform you that 75% students of the first batch had been placed in various well-known companies and the maximum package offered to a students from the first batch was Rs 10 lakh per annum by Amazon and the average package was Rs4.3 lakh per annum. The overall percentage of placement for the second batch was 73% and the maximum package offered was 16 lakh per annum by Housing.com." The average package offered to students of the 2015 batch of NIT Goa was Rs4.89 lakh per annum. Companies that have visited the campus so far for placements are Samsung Technologies, L&T Construction, Amazon, Housing.com, Unisys and Barclay's. "As we all know, our institute is in its nascent stage and the strength of the students is also very less compared to established NITs. In spite of that we could attract a good number of companies fro the campus placement of our students," Reddy said.  For complete reading see here
